The Earth Day River Walk and Clean-up event promotes river stewardship by engaging community members in cleaning up a stretch of the South Platte River. Individuals and groups including families, scouts, service clubs and religious organizations experience the ecology of the river as they remove debris and trash along its banks. Volunteers are provided with trash bags, safety vests, gloves, trash pickers and lunch.
